In My Heart Encouragement Card | Angela Simpson
Hey there, friends! It's Angela, and today I've got a project to share that features the recently-released Pinkfresh Studio In My Heart suite. You may recall that a few months ago, the Lily Frame suite allowed you to create a gorgeous floral frame, then color it in with layering stencils and whatever colors made your heart sing. Well, the In My Heart suite is similar, but with different floral clusters that all look stunning when they frame up an A2 card. Let's get into it, shall we?
To begin, I stamped the In My Heart frame stamp in Tidal Pond ink. Of course, you could go with black, but I wanted to do something a little softer on this occasion. Next up came stenciling with Pinkfresh inks in Candy Apple, Mermaid Cove, Marigold and Persimmon. To soften the contrast between the layering stencils, I always like to go back to the first one (with the largest exposed areas) and re-blend a little, and this is something you can always do if you find that you went in a little too heavy with the ink on your detail layers.
Once the whole frame was colored in, I used the coordinating In My Heart die to cut it out. While I was at it, I also created a white cover panel with the Dotted Scallop Cover Plate, and adhered that straight onto an A2 card base. I usually do this with liquid glue because it allows me a bit of extra time to smoosh things around and get the edges perfectly lined up.
To give the card some dimension, I backed the In My Heart frame with foam tape and mounted it over the Dotted Scallop backdrop. To finish, I foiled a 'you are the best' from the Fancy Script Words hot foil plate set, cut out several with the coordinating dies, and stacked them on top of one another. After adhering this in the lower third of the card, she was done!
If you haven't yet, be sure to check out the latest Pinkfresh release, including the In My Heart suite, here. I can't wait to see what you make with these products, and if you share on Instagram, be sure to tag me and Pinkfresh Studio so we can check out your beautiful work. In the meantime, thank you so much for stopping by. I'll see you back here soon!
