Hello friends! It's Kelly here today sharing a fun floral card in tones of blue! I've been dying to use the new Choose Hope stamp set with the coordinating stencils and die. The back of the packaging showed these flowers all done up in blue, so that is what inspired today's card!

To begin, I die cut two of the flower clusters and then stamped the black outline using a MISTI for perfect alignment. Once the outline was stamped, I used the 5 layered stencils to add the color. I chose Slumber, Blue Jay, and Seaside for the flowers and Fresh Pear and Grassy Knoll for the leaves.

I set the flowers aside and got to work on the background and other design elements. I've really been trying to be more mindful of my sentiments, rather than leaving them as an afterthought. My original idea was to stamp the sentiment directly onto a white panel, but after I decided on using the Essentials: Stitches Die, I knew I needed to revamp my plan. Thank heavens it was an easy fix by stamping the "Hoping" sentiment onto a Basic Label Frame. Yay...crisis averted! I just love the texture that the Stitches Die provides, so I was happy I didn't have to sacrifice that detail in order to get the sentiment I wanted! I also die cut the background panel with the Essentials: Stitched Rectangles for a polished edge.

The "life is good" portion of the sentiment is heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock and added below the "Hoping" portion. The Essentials: Stitched Scalloped Rectangles provided the perfect frame for the sentiments and to add the flowers. I placed them around the sentiment using foam squares and then used my paper trimmer to square them up. As I mentioned earlier, I created two floral pieces, but with careful planning, you could probably create this same look by just strategically cutting one cluster.

I added a few jewels in blue to the flowers for some sparkle and shine! I wanted to add in one more piece of interest, so I added the Curvy Leaves to the floral clusters. This is actually just one of the largest of the leaves just cut up in smaller pieces to add here and there. The entire panel is adhered to a top folding A2 white card base using additional foam squares for maximum dimension! When mailing these layered cards, I use the "non-machinable" postage stamp that the post office sells. I hope you've enjoyed today's post! Thanks for joining me today!
