Hi friends!

This is Angela and today I’ve got three slimline card designs to share with you, all using some of the gorgeous new items from the Pinkfresh Studio October release. 

First up is a rainbow-striped design with a beautiful large floral and sentiment from the Floral Notes stamp set.

I started by creating a rainbow panel with a variety of cardstock strips, then mounted that on my slimline card base. Next, I heat embossed the floral stamp in white on a piece of heavyweight vellum, then cut it out with the coordinating Floral Notes die. (There’s also a layered stencil in this set, so be sure to check that out too!)

While I was at it, I embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set on navy cardstock. As for the adhesive, to keep it as discrete as possible, I used clear dots under the vellum piece, carefully tucking them under the embossed areas. Finally, I secured the sentiment with a piece of foam tape for some extra dimension.

The second card features the Leafy Squares stencil.

I used an ink blending brush and Pinkfresh Studio’s Premium Dye Ink in Mint (one of my favorite colors!) to lightly stencil the image onto a white panel. Coming from someone who is certainly not an ink blending pro, I have to say that this stencil was super easy to work with!

Next, I used a rainbow of cardstock along with Lea’s Ornate Upper Case Die Set and Heather Lower Case Die Set to create a Thank You sentiment. After all of the letters were cut out, I arranged them on the lower right corner of my card and adhered them with skinny double-sided adhesive foam strips to make them stand out.

Last but certainly not least, the third card combines both the Leafy Squares stencil and the Floral Notes stamp set and die.

This time, I used Sky Blue ink to create a subtle blended background, just enough to add a little visual interest.

I embossed the large floral stamp on pink and purple shades of cardstock, and after running them through my die cutting machine, trimmed each one further with scissors so that I could arrange them in overlapping clusters under my sentiment. Again, I used foam tape under the flowers and sentiment for dimension, and finished the card by adding a few clear droplets.
