Folk Art Slimline Card | TaeEun Yoo

Hello and Happy Friday, Pinkfresh friends! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a slimline card with a Spring vibe! It it showcasing the Folk Art Slimline layering stencil set from our January Release. I matched it with yellow butterflies which were hot foiled in gold using Small Butterflies hot foil plate.

To start I stenciled the Folk Art Slimline on a white cardstock. I chose yellow-blue color scheme. I stenciled the branches in Sky Blue and Summer Shower. While I was stenciling the first layer with Sky Blue I added a bit of Misty Coast to it. The yellow flowers were stenciled in Sunshine, Sweet Mustard and Apricot. As I wanted to color the birds in blue I covered that part of the stencils when I stenciled the flowers. The birds were then ink blended in Slumber, Blue Jay and Stargazer.

After the stenciling was done I cut the panel using the Blanket Stitch Slimline die.

The small butterflies were hot foiled in gold and stenciled in Sunshine, Marigold, Apricot and Clementine. I cut them using the coordinating die and set them aside.

The sentiment from Fancy Script words was hot foiled using the negative hot foil and Solid hot foil plate! I absolutely love using up the negative foils! the Solid hot foil plate is an ingenious tool !  The white heat embossed sentiment is from Always Uplifting sentiment set.

Next I started assembling the card. First I foam mounted the stenciled panel on a navy slimline cardbase and added the sentiments. I curled up the wings of the yellow butterflies and added them to the card using some foam tape. I finished off the card with a few Stargazer and Sky Blue Jewels!
