Butterflies & Small Butterflies Slimline Card┃Yasmin Diaz

Happy Tuesday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing with you a very dainty, yet extra dimensional “Butterflies Slimline’’ inspiration card made using a combination of Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate, Small Butterflies Layering Stencil Set and Small Butterflies Die + Butterflies Hot Foil Plate, Butterflies Die Set and Butterflies Stencil Set from the latest, JUNE-2021 Release. Along with this delicate and elegant sets, I’ve also used Hydrangea and Rose Stamp Set for the card sentiment, Essentials: Nested-Chevron Die to create the textured card background and Essentials Slimline Envelope Die Set and Keeping It Real: 12 x 12 Paper Pack to create a matching envelope. Besides that, I’ve also used Metallic Pearls -Gold as embellishment and last but not least, PFS- Inks. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it.

Therefore, I started off by lining up both Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and Butterflies Hot Foil Plate over 2- A2 size white card panels and then, I went ahead to cut out 2 large pieces of foil from a Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass. Once, I had completed the previous steps, I quickly went ahead to get the foil stamping done over the card panels by following the instructions from my following the foiling process steps from my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Thus, as soon as I had finished the hot foil stamping on both card panels, I went ahead to place down the card panel with the small butterflies over my Make Art - Stay-tion - 7 Inch to get the layering stencil process done using Small Butterflies Layering Stencil Set. I would like to mention that this set includes 4 stencil, so I used a combination of PFS- Inks to the butterflies in. And, as for the ink colors, I used Ballet Slipper Ink, Sparkling Rose Ink, Peach Fuzz Ink, Candy Violet Ink and Regal Kiss Ink. Having that said, right after that I had finished inking up the card panel with the small butterflies, I quickly went ahead to use the same ink color combination along with Butterflies Stencil Set to get the large butterflies ink up.

So, as soon as I had finished inking up both butterflies card panels, I went ahead to line up over each of them their coordinating dies which are Small Butterflies Die and Butterflies Die Set to die-cut the butterflies out from each card panel. Therefore, after I had finished die-cutting the butterflies out of the card panel, I went ahead to set them off aside, so I could keep the die-cutting going for the card panel thus, to do that, I lined up Essentials: Nested-Chevron Die over a white card panel and then, I went ahead to run them through the die-cut machine. Next, I repeated the previous step to die-cut another chevron panel as this die is intended for A2 size card designs and I wanted to have extra pieces to create a slimline card. Lastly, to finish the die-cutting process, I went ahead to die-cut a few butterflies out of plain white cardstock as well.

Moving on, after having all die-cutting pieces done, I went ahead to start the assembling for the card so to do that, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue the chevron die-cutting pieces over a slimline white card panel in both directions (as shown in the image above) creating that way a white-on-white textured card background panel with a chevron design. Next, I adhered down the backing of the textures card panel using double-sided adhesive to a slimline size white card base. Lastly, I layered over the plain white die-cutting the inked and hot foil stamped butterflies and then, I went ahead to glue them down over the card base. Then, to finish the card off by mounting with craft foam to add dimension a sentiment, which I’ve had previously stamped with embossing ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder on a small piece of white cardstock. Last but not least, I went ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue some Metallic Pearls -Gold to compliment the glimmering look from the foil.
NOTE: By the way, the card sentiment is part of Hydrangea and Rose Stamp Set.

And, with that being said, thank you for stopping by we hope you have enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this dainty/elegant, yet extra dimensional “Butterflies Slimline’’ inspiration card using an array of beautiful products by Pinkfresh Studio. Super pretty! I really like the white on white with the die cut. Adds the perfect amount of interest, without taking away from those beautiful butterflies!
