Hi crafty friends, I have two watercolored cards today featuring Floral frame stamp and Floral frame die set.
I started by stamping the main floral frame image from Floral frame stamp on two watercolor sheets. I stamped one with a light gray ink and the other with a darker gray ink for different looks. I watercolored them both with the Liquid watercolors and a detail watercolor brush.
For the first card, I diluted Bubble Gum Liquid Watercolor for ink smooshing onto my card base. This adds a dash of color to coordinate with the colored floral frame. I mounted one of the colored frames with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment from Always flower (one of my favorite sets) using black ink in the center and then finished off the card with some light purple gems.
For the second card, I mounted the second colored frame over black cardstock for more contrast. I kept the inner die cut piece and stamped the sentiment from Always flower in blue. Then I mounted that in the center with foam tape. I added dark blue gems to match the mood of the card.
I love that this stamp and die combination make it easy to create complete cards with a framed look. You can use the stamp alone for a one-layer look or use the coordinating die for a dimensional look. I hope this inspires you to color today!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
