It's Channin here! Today I have two bright and cheery holiday cards featuring the beautiful Sparkle with Magic Stamp Set! These cards also demonstrate two different takes on adding sparkle to your cards!!
First up is a single layer card in which I add sparkle with embossing powder! I actually stamped the front panels for both of these cards at the same time. I used my MISTI and the pattern stamping technique to make stamping these panels quick and easy!
I first stamped the frame stamp from the Sparkle with Magic Stamp Set in black onto both panels. I used the grid lines on my MISTI to help me make sure the frame was straight. Next, I centered the sentiment in the sentiment and stamped it on both panels. I then stamped the sentiment again on the first panel again but this time with Versamark Ink and then I heat embossed the sentiment with holographic glitter embossing powder.
Next, I arranged several other stamps from the Sparkle with Magic Stamp Set, arranging only the stamps I wanted in the same particular color (Iike the green pine sprigs) on the lower half of the panel. I then would stamp the images in my chosen color on both panels (Pinkfresh Inks- Meadow, Sunshine, Sparkling Rose, & Summer Shower). But like I did with the sentiment, I stamped images again on the first panel with Versamark Ink and then heat emboss with iridescent glitter embossing powder. Once I had finished stamping the lower half I would simply flip my panel 180 degrees and then stamp the top half of my panels (sometimes removing or adding stamps). And again I would always stamp again and then heat emboss the first panel with iridescent glitter embossing powder to add that sparkle!! I then finished the first card by trimming the panel, adhering it to an A2 top-folding card base and then filling in the lights with Nuvo Drops.
Next is one of my favorite ways to add sparkle because it is also interactive, and that is creating a shaker card!!
After I made stamped my panel I cut it with a rectangle die creating a frame. I then used the same die to die cut a craft foam frame from an A2 panel of white craft foam. I then adhered the stamped panel onto an A2 top-folding card base and then filled in the stamped lights with Nuvo Drops. Then I adhered the craft foam frame around it creating my shaker well on the card front.
Next, I filled my shaker well white and clear iridescent sequins. I then stamped the sentiment again onto an A2 panel of acetate, this way the sentiment is still visible even when the sequins are spread all over the place. I then adhered the cardstock frame to the acetate and then sealed by shaker shut with the acetate panel.
And that is it! I hope you enjoyed! Thank you so much for stopping by!
