Super Soft All Over.

Super Soft All Over.

Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing some super soft pastel projects using items from the latest Pinkfresh Stamp and Die release. This release was chock full of beautiful florals, including these gorgeous floral dies: Beautiful Blooms and Lacy Floral Border. They're so beautifully intricate that they can easily stand alone as the focal point of your projects, which is what I've tried to achieve today, paired with some super soft Copic coloring and ink blending! Let's get started with the details!

For both projects today, I die cut Beautiful Blooms and Lacy Floral Border from white card stock, then colored the images with the same shades of cool, pale pink, turquoise, and aqua Copic markers: RV00, RV52, RV63; G000, G00, BG34; BG01, BG45, BG49.

For my first project, I die cut one of the label shapes included in the Pretty Frames die set from white card stock, then using my MISTI and light and dark shades of teal ink, stamped an ombre "be your own kind of beautiful" from the new You've Got This stamp set. I layered the Copic-colored floral die cut over the top of the sentiment using liquid adhesive. Next, I used a coordinating pale pink ink and blender brushes to do some very subtle ink blending around the edge of the card base and adhered the label to the blended base using foam adhesive. The final touch was to add a few iridescent white jewels. (You'll hear more about those later this month!! *wink wink*)

For my second project, I used the larger Beautiful Blooms die cut, adding two more of the die cuts to my Copic-colored die cut to create a dimensional die cut focal point. I love creating dimensional die cuts with these super intricate dies, especially when they cut as cleanly as these dies cut. I again did some soft ink blending around the edge of my card base using that cool, soft pink, leaving the center white to allow for some contrast on the colored die cut image. I also stamped a greeting on a strip of white card stock from Abstract Builder. I adhered the dimensional die cut to the blended panel using liquid adhesive, then added the sentiment strip over the top using bits of foam adhesive to give plenty of dimension. The last step was to add some more iridescent white jewels for some sparkle and added texture!

Well, that's all for me today! I hope you're enjoying playing with the newest release from Pinkfresh Studio. Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous day!
