Slimline Thank You Cards | TaeEun Yoo

Slimline Thank You Cards | TaeEun Yoo

Hello Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re all doing well! It’s TaeEun here today with you sharing a couple of slimline Thank You cards. I used some of our brand new Essentials Slim Cuts dies and some fresh spring-like colors. Hope my cards could brighten your day a bit!

My first card is featuring Slim stitched scallop circles panel and the floral cluster from Full Bloom stamp set.

First I cut a watercolor paper panel in 3 5/8 x 8 5/8 and a white cardbase in 3 7/8 x 8 7/8. I stamped the Full Bloom image three times on each panel as shown in the picture. I stamped the image in Peach Fuzz on the watercolor paper and in Rocky Slope on the cardbase.

I then colored the floral clusters on the watercolor paper panel using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid watercolors. After the coloring was complete I cut the panel using Slim stitched scallop circles panel die and set it aside.

I ink blended the areas on the front of the cardbase which would be seen through the scalloped circle windows. For ink blending I used Lavender, Key Lime and Passion Fruit.

I foam mounted the front panel on the cardbase and added the sentiment strip. The sentiment is also from Full Bloom stamp set which I white heat embossed on a piece of black cardstock. I finished off the card with some purple, light green and pink Crystals.

The second card was made using Slim Ornate banner dies and Frame Builder: Botanical Circle dies. For the sentiment I used Classic words die set.

I started off by creating the background panel. I traced a S-shaped line on a scrap paper following the curve of the Frame Builder: Botanical Circle. I cut the paper along the line to use it as my mask so that I can spilt the panel in two areas. I then applied clear water on the panel and added the Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolor in Key Lime and Sky Blue to the right side of the line and Key Lime and Bubble Gum to the left side. I set the panel aside to dry.

I cut the Frame Builder: Botanical Circle four times and stacked three of them together. I colored the inner pieces using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolor and let it dry.

The background panel was cut using two dies from the Slim Ornate banner die set. I attached the frame directly on the white slimline cardbase and foam mounted the center panel on it.

I placed the Frame Builder: Botanical Circles as I wanted and adhered the inner pieces in their places. I then covered them using Glossy Accents to give them some shine. After the Glossy Accents was dry, I adhered the fourth layer of the Frame Builder: Botanical Circles on it.

The sentiment was cut also four times from some heavyweight white cardstock. I colored one of them in Key Lime watercolor, stacked them together and added it to the card. I covered the die cut sentiment with a clear glitter pen.

To finish off I added three pink Jewels on the bottom of the banner and one tiny green rhinestone between the two pieces of the Frame Builder: Botanical Circle.

That’s it from my side for today. I hope I could inspire you and brighten your day a little bit with my cards!

Have a peaceful and crafty day!

Stay safe and healthy!

Hugs,

TaeEun

So beautiful, TaeEun! I don’t know how you had the courage to cut into your beautiful watercoloring on the first card.

These cards are beyond stunning! I love them both! The softwater colours with the brighter flowers, and the die cut with the infill and using glossy accents. Breathtaking results!
