Skating bunnies and Floral frame card ideas | Natasha Valkovskaya

Hey, crafty people! Thank you for dropping by! Today I have quite a few cards to share with you, so grab a cup of something you enjoy and let's jump right in!

I have some holiday cards featuring adorable Skating Bunnies for those of you who are planning to start making Christmas cards soon, but also some floral cards using Floral Frame set.

First, let's skate with the bunnies! I love these cuties! You can create quick and adorable cards within minutes, sometimes that's exactly what you need with all the holiday craze going on! And you can stamp them in colours matching your gift wrap!

One of my favourite holiday colour combos is white, red and kraft. So, I had to give it ago!

skating bunnies kraft

I created a pattern on the kraft panel using small images from the set. Then I heat embossed the bunnies in white on kraft cardstock, die cut them with coordinating dies. Stamped some snowflakes and the sentiment on the white panel, adhered the bunnies onto foam tape, and done!

I also added a bit of light pink Copic marker onto the cheeks and ears of the bunnies. After skating we all get adorable natural blush, don't we?

For the second card I went for shades of blue. I stamped the bunnies in blue ink and again added some details with  a light pink Copic marker.

I created the backdrop with Salty Ocean distress oxide ink and stamped the trees, snowflakes and the sentiment in grey ink. Here's the thing, I'm currently away from my craft desk, and I have only very light grey ink with me, it looks very soft and subtle in real life, but oh boy how I struggled to capture it on a photo!

Finally, I decided to make a very quick and simple card. For this one, I created a wash of colour with Pinkfresh Studio Sapphire  and Sky Blue watercolours, added some splatters, and just stamped the sentiment and the images in black ink.  I really like how it turned out!

You must be cold and hungry after all this skating? I know I am! Let's return to July and enjoy some gorgeus summer flowers! Floral Frame set is perfect for creating gorgeous cards for so many occasions! You can enjoy colouring all the beautiful details or you can go for quick cards, like I did.

For the first card, I heat embossed the frame in white on kraft cardstock, die cut it with a coordinating die, mounted it on foam tape and stamped the sentiment from the set. And here we have it: a simple and elegant card.

I also stamped the frame in kraft ink onto the card base before adhering the heat embossed frame. I'm not sure it was really worth it - you can't see it that much, but it seemed as an interesting touch then.

Here's a more colourful version. This time I heat emobossed the frame in gold and toned it with Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon distress oxide inks. Then I die cut the frame, added splatters in the same colours onto the panel, heat embossed the sentiment and the card is ready!

As I had my gold embossing powder out, I made one more frame, but this time I left it as is. It looks so elegant in gold! I decided to freshen it up with some green: I added splatters of Pinkfresh Studio Key Lime liquid watercolour, stamped the sentiment from Be You set in green and mounted the panel onto green card base.

I love how this card turned out! I stamped the frame in black ink, then masked it with a die cut frame. I used Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers distress oxide inks to create this gradient.

I removed the mask and added splatters of Pinkfresh Studio Licorice watercolor and water of course! Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Be You set.

Thank you for your time! Which card do you like best? I hope you like these simple card ideas and are inspired to play with your Skating Bunnies and Floral Frame sets!
