Caly here today sharing some cards I made for Creativation a few weeks ago! I created these cards for make and takes in the Pinkfresh Studio booth - so they're super simple and easy to recreate. I used 3 Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors to create all the cards for this post: Lavender, Bubble Gum, and Aquamarine.
My first set of cards is created using the Make A Wish stamp and die set! This layering stamp set is so versatile and I didn't get a chance to use all fun elements that come with this stamp set. You can dress it up for flowers and foliage but again, I kept it very simple for make and takes. Instead of stamping the 3 layers for the cake, I did two.
I did a quick watercolor wash on the background and let it air dry before adhering the cake and cake stand to the watercolored card front using some foam tape for dimension.
To finish these cards, I simply stamped the sentiments and cut fishtails on the ends to create a banner and added a few sequins.
My second set of cards uses the Circle Frame with Botanicals die. I die cut the frames using some foil gold paper and centered it on the card front where I wanted the frame to sit.
Using a pencil, I traced along the inside of the circle so I knew where to stop with my watercolor. I did a light wash inside this ring using Bubble Gum Liquid Watercolor and set it aside to air dry.
For the sentiment, I used the new Scripted Bold Sentiments 1 stamp set and stamped the centers of the watercolor circle with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. To adhere the gold circle, I used glue dots - I think this is the best way to adhere detailed frames like this - wherever you can find a spot large enough to add a glue dot all around. Again, I added a simple sentiment banner and sequins to finish off the cards. I hope you enjoyed these simple cards. Thank you so much for stopping by today!
