It's Caly here today to share two cards with you using Pinkfresh Studio dies with soft rainbow ink-blended backgrounds.
The intensity and saturation of the color depends on you, of course. Color choices, blending tools used, and heaviness of hand will change the results. For these cards, I used large daubers. I suspect you can create the same soft look with ink-blending brushes.
My first card uses the Folklore die. It's such a beautifully intricate die! I die-cut it from white cardstock and for the background, I ink-blended the rainbow starting from the center flower. I actually did not use every color of the rainbow, but rather allowed the colors to blend - creating natural colors on their own.
I started with Abandoned Coral, then blended with Scattered Straw (which created the natural orange); Tumbled Glass (which created the green); Wilted Violet (which create the indigo). The sentiment on this card is from the Word Series: Dream stamp set and is embossed in white over black cardstock.
My second card is a shaker card created using the Adore Alpha Dies. I love the outlines from these dies and have use gold foil cardstock for a previous card and love the outline it gives. The background is once again ink-blended using the same colors as above - this time, from top to bottom on the card base.
After die-cutting the word, I adhered some acetate to the back, then in-layed the outline of the letters. Then I added foam adhesive to the back of the card panel to create my shaker and filled the shaker portion with a beautiful sequin mix made of small clear jewels and iridescent flat circle confetti. Both cards today are adorned with clear confetti sequins.
I hope you enjoyed my rainbow ink-blended cards today! Thanks so much for stopping by - I'll see you back here next month!
