Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today to share a pair of cheerful springtime cards using the new Essentials dies from the latest Pinkfresh Studio release! Earlier this week, we released a fabulous set of dies in "essential" shapes, but with an added Pinkfresh twist and some fabulous details. I have a duo of cards using the new dies and some of our older stamps, so let's get started with all of the details!
I love the dainty details on these new dies, and I wanted to pair these pretty, feminine details with an elegant color scheme. I used the Embroidered Blossoms stamps and dies using a variety of pinks and teals to stamp enough blooms and foliage for a few bouquets. I also stamped two custom background panels on some white card stock using the same colors and stamps.
For the first card, I die cut the Inverted Stitched Scalloped Circle on an A2 panel of pale pink card stock, then layered it over the top of one of my custom patterned backgrounds using foam tape. I die cut the "best wishes" (from the Essentials Word Dies set) from some teal card stock and the matching outline from vellum, then layered them with a bouquet of the stamped florals on the front of the popped up circular frame. Those beautiful stitched and dotted details work perfectly with the Embroidered Blossoms, don't you think?
For my second project, I used one of the new Essentials Classic Edgers dies to cut the edge of a pale pink card stock, which I layered on the second stamped background panel using foam tape. I die cut the "thank you" (also from the Essentials Word Dies) using the same teal card stock and vellum, and layered it on a set of stamped nosegays. Pretty lacy details and pink flowers make for a lovely combination, don't you think?
Well, that's all for me today! I hope you've gotten some of the new Essentials dies... they're truly something that you can use on virtually every card!
