Orange, Brown and Gold | TaeEun Yoo

Orange, Brown and Gold | TaeEun Yoo

Hello Pinkfresh friends! Hope you're enjoying the last day of this year :)! It's TaeEun here today sharing a couple of encouragement cards in a color scheme; orange, brown and gold. I love this warm and elegant autumnal colors. I used also some of our new dies from Essentials 3 release

My first card is featuring Ornate Banner die set and No One Compares to You sentiment stamp set which includes some gorgeous encouraging sentiments in Caly's beautiful handwriting.

I started off by making an alcohol inked panel in Valencia, Sunset Orange, Butterscotch and Hazelnut. I used lots of rubbing alcohol to move and blend the colors. As I wanted to heat emboss the sentiment directly on the panel I used an alcohol ink cardstock which doesn't warp so easily. Before the alcohol ink was completely dry, I covered the panel with a gold foil and pressed it using a brayer. This left some small golden blots on the panel.

I cut the alcohol inked panel using the largest die from Ornate Banner die set and dry embossed it with the next largest die to add some more texture to it. I then gold heat embossed the sentiment from No One Compares to You set on the center of the panel. The sentiment says " May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." I think it could be one of your New Year's resoluItions, isn't it ?

I die cut the little droplet pattern from the panel to decorate the sentiment and set it aside.

I chose a dark brown cardbase and dry embossed the front using Fancy Diagonal Stripes die. I foam mounted the alcohol inked panel with the sentiment on the cardbase. To embellish the front panel I took a transparent floral cluster from Gold foiled Acetate Ephemera of Just a Little Lovely Embellishment bundle. I colored the back of the acetate flowers using alcohol inks and a micro applicator in orange and brown and added it to the front panel. I finished off the card by adhering some gold metallic Jewels

The second card was made using Diagonal Stripes with Window die from our Essentials 3 Release.

I cut the Diagonal Stripes with Window once from a gold shimmer cardstock and once from some brown fun foam. I then prepared a cream cardbase by ink blending 4 brown shades from Wild Truffles ink set in an ombre fashion on the front of the cardbase. After the ink colors were dry, I gold heat embossed "good luck" from Scripted Bold Sentiments 1 set on it.

I gold heat embossed the floral branch from Folk Hummingbird stamp set on some Bristol vellum paper and colored it using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid watercolors in Sunshine, Clementine and Espresso. I cut it with the coordinating die

Now it's time to assemble the card. I adhered Diagonal Stripes with Window from fun foam and the one from gold shimmer paper on the cardbase. I then added the floral branch to it using some foam tape. To finish off the card I scattered some gold metallic Jewels and drew some white highlights on the floral image using a white gel pen.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and for the love and support you've shown in this past year !!!

Wishing you all the very best of health, success and good luck for the new year!!!

Hugs,

TaeEun
