Hello! It's Kelly here and I'm so excited to be sharing my first post with you as a new Design Team member! I've got two cards to share with you today using some of my favorite Pinkfresh Studio products! As much as I hate needing Sympathy cards, I'm always so pleased when I have just the right images and sentiments to make my cards feel comforting and encouraging!
The starting point for both of these cards was the BEAUTIFUL Just a little lovely: 6 by 6 paper pad with all of the pretty colors and prints. I chose a pretty printed floral piece and a watercolor print to start off my designs. I used the gorgeous Floral Elements stamp set for both cards. I stamped them in black ink and then colored them with Copic markers. Once they were all colored, I used the coordinating Floral Elements die set
to cut them out. I set those aside and got to work on the two sentiments.
They both use the Fancy Label Frames die set, but one is die cut out of black cardstock and one out of white. The "Bloom" card uses the sentiments from the Blooming Bouquet stamp set and I stamped it in black onto the white label. The "sympathy" sentiment is from the Oval Foliage stamp set and is heat embossed in white.
Each card is a standard A2 cardbase with the pattern paper layered over the top using a tape gun. I adhered the Pretty Frames using foam squares for dimension. From there, I got to work adding the sentiment labels and arranging the flowers. I added some ink splatter to the label to continue what is already printed on the pattern paper.
Each card has a scattering of the pretty Essentials Jewel Mix which I just LOVE! This sympathy card has already made its way to the recipient and I hope that it brings some comfort and cheery. I can't wait to send out the "bloom" card to a deserving recipient. Card making is something that I have chosen that makes my heart bloom! Thank you for stopping by today!
