Hello everyone! It's Isha here sharing a couple of Christmas cards. I am using the "Merry & Bright" stamp and the coordinating die set for both my cards. This is a nice set with lots of small images to play with.
My first card is all stamped and almost flat. I started with creating my watercolor background wash using peerless watercolors. Once this panel was dry, I stamped the tiny snowflakes using similar colors of inks. I then stamped and embossed the main image "Merry & Bright" using pearl gold embossing powder. Then I colored the image and let it dry.
I then die-cut the image and saved the center negative part too. I stamped the sentiment onto the center negative part and adhered it to the card layer. I adhered 3D foam to the back of the main image and adhered it too. To finish, I added thin strips of black glitter paper to both the sides of my panel and mounted my panel to a white top folded cardbase.
My next card features the December Days 6x6 paper pad from the December Days collection
I created a top fold red cardbase. I adhered the subtle bauble pattern as my first layer to the cardbase. Then, I flicked some gold, teal and green sprays for some color and to match it with my main stamped and colored image. I then cut 2 more pattern stripes from the same paper pad and adhered it to the card. Then I flicked the same sprays to a doily and adhered it over the stripes.
I then stamped and embossed the main image "Merry & Bright" using pearl gold embossing powder, colored it using copic markers. I then die-cut the image and saved the negative to stamp the sentiment. Finally, I adhered the center sentiment panel flat to the card and used 3D foam under the main image. I really love how easy it is to mix the holiday stamps with the patterned papers.
Have you started making your Christmas cards yet? I have already started and am having fun using all the different elements from the December Days collection for quick cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
