Magical Holidays | TaeEun Yoo

Hello pinkfresh friends! And happy Halloween to those who celebrate this day!

It's TaeEun here today sharing a couple of holiday cards made using the new Holiday Release items and our brand new Premium Dye Inks! I focused on how wonderful the new inks are for blending! They are super juicy and with the four colors in a color family you can create a seamless ombre effect!

Let's take a look at my cards!

For the first card I used three different stamp sets along with Layered Wreath die.

I first chose a patterned paper from Home for the Holidays 6x6 paper pack. The pattern is filled with cute Christmas trees in a color combination of gray, light blue and light green with little elements in yellow and red. To match with those colors I cut the Layered Wreath once from a silver cardstock and once from a white cardstock. I ink blended the white wreath using our new Premium dye inks in Sky Blue and Summer Shower. I also die cut the small leaves from white cardstock using Layered Wreath die set and ink blended some of them in Seaside.

The simple trees are from Skiing by stamp set. I stamped the tree duo image two times in Grassy Knoll and Key Lime and die cut them using the coordinating die.

The sentiment from Season’s Greetings set was silver heat embossed on the centerpiece of the white die cut Wreath.

I cut the patterned paper using a Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die and foam mounted it on a white top fold cardbase. I then added the silver wreath and the white center piece with the silver heat embossed sentiment on it using foam adhesives. I glued the light blue wreath on the silver one and added some white and blue leaves to it. I also cut some berries from white cardstock, added them to the wreath and covered them with Shimmer Pico embellisher for some shine. I then adhered the trees and foam mounted the reindeer. The reindeer is a leftover from a previous card I made, which was cut from a panel with Rainbow with Splatters washi tape.

The second card was made using Sparkle with Magic stamp set from our Holiday Release.

I started off by making the tags using Classic tags with fillable elements die set.  I cut two simple tag shape from some heavy weight white cardstock. I ink blended one of them using Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Berrylicious and Candy Apple in an ombre fashion darkening towards the bottom. The other tag was ink blended in Sweet Mustard and Apricot. I cut the striped pattern from the red tag and adhered one white tag underneath.

After the tags were completely dry I white heat embossed the words and small decorative elements from Sparkle with Magic stamp set on them.

To create the background I ink blended Coral reef on the top of an A2 sized watercolor paper panel and dry embossed it using Pretty Frames die set. I then added yellow and red splatters using Berrylicious and Sweet Mustard ink. I also splattered white opaque ink on it and let it dry.

The background panel was mounted flat on a white cardbase and two tags were adhered using some foam tape as shown in the picture, after I tied a bow using a red twine. To finish off I covered the light bulbs, ornament and the outlined word “sparkle” with Shimmer Pico embellisher and scattered some red Crystals.

That's it from my side today!  Hope I was able to inspire you with my cards!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day filled with lots of sweet treats :) !

The wreath card is just wonderful!!!!!!!! I LOVE the color combo of the blues, pink…I am trying non-traditional colors this Christmas, and appreciate seeing other people’s creations. I made some blue and pink Christmas trees on my cards yesterday. I love it!
