Love and wishes | Alix Davis

Hi Crafty Friends,

Alix here with you sharing couple cards with love and wishes. I decided to go with shaker cards which is one of my favorite card styles.

For my first card, I stamped images from Hanging Florals Stamp set and die cut with the Coordinating Dies. I then colored them with Copic markers and set aside for later use.

I cut a circle that was with somewhat similar size to the hanging Florals out of a piece of A2 sized watercolor paper. I mixed Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in  Worn lipstick with water and made splatters on the top portion of the card. I also lightly ink blended onto the negative circle cut out. I stamped the sentiment "with love and thanks" and adhered a few pink jewels.

To make the shaker card, I added a piece of acetate paper underneath the circle, poured some clear seed beads and close the window with Foam tape. At last, I added colored images to finish my first card.

For my second card, I combined oldies and goodies.I first ink blended an A2 sized watercolor paper with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Lucky Clover and Pine Needles.

I cut my card front panel using Fancy Floral 1 Die out of Neenah solar white 100lbs card stock paper. To create the shaker window, I attached a piece of acetate paper underneath the cut out panel and added tons of sparkling sequins . I closed the window with Foam tape.

I stamped the humming bird images from Folk Hummingbird stamp set and die cut with the Coordinating Die. I colored it with copic markers and then attached it onto the top of my panel.

I white heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of back card stock paper and hand cut it to a rectangle stripe. I attached it with foam tape and scattered some pink jewels to embellish my card.

I hope you all like them. I will see you around for more inspirations!
