Good morning! Heather Hoffman here this morning to share a couple cards I made using Home for the Holidays and Cityscape Die paired up with the gorgeous pattern paper from the Holiday Vibes collection!
It was so fun to pair these together - pattern paper is such a fun addition to the clever set of Cityscape Dies and Home for the Holidays! Just changing the pattern paper changes the card from more of a night scene to a bright snowy day scene! And all that pattern paper meant that I simply added a touch of color with a soft blue Copic marker for some shadow and shading effects, but left them neutral so they didn't fight against the pattern paper.
This first card uses lighter and brighter colors - the background paper looks kind of like falling snow. I also added some glitter cardstock on the bottom, after tearing one edge of it to give it more of a realistic look and feel.
For the second one I did a deeper color for the background paper, so it looks more like a night sky.
To add a touch more sparkle, I also added some Nuvo Glitter Drops on the roofs, the tops of the windows and doors, and on part of the trees and snowmen.
As a final finishing touch, I added a few of the coordinating enamel dots from the Holiday Vibes collection!
Thanks so much for joining me here today! Feel free to stop by my blog, Houses Built of Cards for a visit as well! Have a wonderful day!
