Happy Friday Pinkfresh Studio Friends! Yasmin here sharing with you how; I’ve heat embossed the new; Modern and Geometric Diamond Tiles Background Stamp to create the background panels for today’s Happy Thoughts cards. So, without further ado, let’s jump dive into today’s blog post ↓
To begin with first; I started by placing inside the stamping tool an A2 size white card panel. Second; I lined up the Diamond Tiles Background Stamp over the white card panel. Once both were lined up, I picked the background stamp up with the stamping tool door, and I added lots of Embossing Powder Tool to the card panel. Because, I was going to stamp the geometric image over it with Embossing Ink.
Once the stamping process was done, I removed the stamped card panel but, I left the background stamp in position because, I was going to stamp a second white card panel in the exact way. So, after my stamping process was done, I gold heat embossed one of the card panels with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder and I white heat embossed the other with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder.
After finishing with the heat embossing, I trimmed the edges off from each of the card panels and I foam mounted each of them to 2-A2 top folding white card bases that, I had previously score and fold in half. With both of my card bases done, I set the white heat embossed one aside and I started the layout for the gold heat embossed card. Thus, for the layout, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the; Leafy Wreath Die Set to die-cut the wreath out of white cardstock. Once the die-cutting wreath was done, I poked the positive pieces out from the die-cutting wreath, and I curled up the dainty partial die-cutting pieces to raise the elegant dimension from the wreath.
Having the wreath done, I adhered it down with liquid glue to the card base. Lastly, to add a touch of organic clean look to the card, I gently pulled out the edge of the Eucalyptus Fantasy Washi Tape. Then, I slowly pulled more and more out from the roll until I had it enough washi tape to cover a white card panel. Once, the washi tape was adhered on the card panel, I used a Teflon bone folder to push out any air bubbles. With the greenery lying flat on the card panel, I placed over the images the dies from the Eucalyptus Fantasy Die Set which, happens to be the dies that goes along with the washi tape, and I ran them through the die-cutting machine to die-cut them out of the card panel. Once, the die-cutting pieces were done, I created a cluster which soon after that, I glue down on the left side of the wreath. Finally, to finish the card off, I foam mounted the Sending sentiment and glue down with liquid glue a sub-sentiment which, I have previously gold heat embossed and die-cut both out of white cardstock.
For the second example, I repeated the same steps to pull and adhere the washi tape to another white card panel. As you can see this time, I used 1 design from the 3 almost 4 included in the washi tape roll.
So, to die-cut the wreath out from the card panel, I used the largest along with the center piece from the set to die. Once the die-cutting wreath was done, I foam mounted it to the card base along with a sentiment that I have previously gold heat embossed on a piece of white card stock.
To keep it simple, I adhered down with liquid glue a delicate bow which, I have previously gold heat embossed and die-cut it on translucent vellum. By the way, the sentiments and the bow are part of the; Floral Vase Stamp and Floral Vase Die sets.
To add an extra touch to the wreaths, I decided to adhere here and there a few clear jewels from the Essentials: Crystals Mix set for a Sparkly look. With that being said, I hope you have enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created these 2 Happy Thoughts cards using the new; Diamond Tiles Background Stamp along with lots of dainty products by Pinkfresh.
