For my first card, I use only washi tape. I adhered the Adorable Frames Washi to a panel of white cardstock for the background and made sure to push out the air bubbles using a flat edge (like a credit card if you don’t have a squeegee tool).
To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment from the You’ve Got This stamp set using StazOn Jet Black Ink. I wasn’t sure any other ink wouldn’t smear, so I used StazOn to make sure it doesn’t since it’s a great permanent ink for non-porous surfaces.
My second card is also created with the Adorable Frames Washi. Instead of using washi elements to create this card, I stamped and embossed the image using gold embossing powder on watercolor paper after die-cutting the full image. Die-cutting first ensures you stamp all the images in the correct place.
I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Liquid Watercolors to color my image (Licorice, Bubble Gum, Emerald City, Key Lime, and Sunshine). I first wet my cardstock in areas I wanted to paint first, then applied some color to each area and allowed it to air dry. By the time I finished with one color, the previous was dry.
When I was done painting, I applied foam adhesive to the back of the image before adhering it to the background washi panel.
Once again, I stamped my sentiment using StazOn Jet Black ink to make sure it doesn’t smear. I hope you enjoyed these simple framed projects! Washi really does all the work, but you can definitely add to it using colored elements of your own!
Have a wonderful day!
