Hello! It's Kelly here today sharing some floral cards with a Valentine's Day vibe, but not necessarily for Valentine's Day. I used some of the new Essentials dies to create these framed floral cards!
To begin these two similar, but different cards, I stamped the two floral images from the Blooming Bouquet Stamp Set and colored them with Copic markers and added a few details with a white gel pen. Once they were colored, I used the coordinating Blooming Bouquet Dies to cut them out. I also die cut each shape once more out of plain white cardstock so I could glue the two together for a sturdier piece.
The sentiments are heat embossed in gold onto strips of vellum to create a soft, elegant feeling on these floral designs. I wrapped them around the panels that are die cut using the new Ornate Banner Die as well as the beautiful Ornate Oval Frames. I love how the richly detailed die cuts give so much visual dimension; especially with the white on white!
I love when a design comes together unexpectedly, like it did for today's cards. I had added the gold clip to the end to help secure the vellum to the cardstock that I had added a dab of glue. Once I had it there, I realized how much I liked it as an added detail to the design, so I added one to each of the two cards!
I added a few Essentials Jewels here and there for some added sparkle and shine! I love how these two floral framed cards turned out! Thanks for joining me today!
