Frame Builder Two-for-One | Channin Pelletier

Frame Builder Two-for-One | Channin Pelletier

Hello friends!! It’s Channin here and today I have a couple of cards to share featuring Frame Builder Botanical Triangle Die. These two cards were actually created from one rainbow ink blended panel which I then die cut with the frame builder die and then used the frames and the negatives to create my two cards.

First I ink blended a white A2 panel with several Pinkfresh inks (Passion Fruit, Sparkling Rose, Apricot, Lemon Whip, Key Lime, & Mermaid Cove). Once I finished ink blending the panel, I then die cut it with the leafy die from the Frame Builder Botanical Triangle Die. After I die cut the panel once with the frame builder, I then lined up the die to create the second side of the triangle, overlapping slightly where I cut previously and then ran it through my die cutting machine.

Next, I lined up the die on last time to create the third side and ran it through. Because I die cut slightly where I cut previously my second and third frame die cut were in several pieces, but I just saved the parts and put them back together on the card.

I then die cut three more frames out of white cardstock and then inlaid them into the inside negative triangle from the ink blended panel. I did however, trim the frames die cuts down wherever they overlapped. Next, I inlaid the leaf negatives of the exterior leaves. I then used a couple strips of painters tape to hold everything in place then flipped the triangle over and place foam tape on the back to added dimension.

I then removed the backing, adhered the triangle to the card front and then carefully removed the painters tape. To finish this card I then stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Leafy Decor Stamp Set onto black cardstock. Then trimmed the sentiment down to a strip and adhered to the card front with foam tape.

For my second card, I constructed a second triangle from the three ink blended frames by gluing the sections to a panel of white cardstock. I then glued and inlaid the interior leaves to my second triangle. Next, I fussy cut around the triangle leaving a thin border and then snipped through a small part of the triangle frame so I could fussy cut out the interior as well.

Next, I added from tape to the backside of the triangle and then adhered to my card front. I then stamped and white heat embossed another sentiment from the Leafy Decor Stamp Set onto black cardstock. I then trimmed the sentiment to a strip and adhered to my card front with foam tape, covering the section of the triangle I snipped to cut out the interior.

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards!! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

These cards are so pretty! And I would never have thought to use the negative space for the 2nd card. But I love the pattern and the results!
