Floral and Shaker Cards | Alix Davis

Hello Crafty Friends! I hope you had great dose of inspirations from Creativation for last a few days. Alix here sharing couple cards I made using our January release products to boost up your creations and ideas!
For my first card, I decided to do something real fun. I always love to make shaker cards because I have no resist to anything sparkling and glowing. So I quickly turn my idea to this card.

I stamped out lots of images from Sweet Lemonade Stamp set and die cut them out using Sweet Lemonade Die set. I usually stamp a whole bunch, then pick and choose what I would like to add onto the card.

For the background, I cut an A2 sized watercolor paper and ink blended with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink ink Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade. I splattered droplets using the spiced Marmalade as well.
To make the shaker element, I ran the card front through my die-cut machine with the ... I then closed the window from the backside with adhering a piece of acetate with glue.I flipped the card front around to the backside and added foam Strips to all four sides of the window. I filled the window with clear seed beads and couple cut out images.then closed this shaker by attaching it onto the background.

After assembled all stamped images, I heat embossed sentiment from this stamp set with white embossing powder onto a piece of black cardstock. I hand cut it into rectangle shape and attached it onto upper corner of the card. At last, I added some clear sequins to embellish the card.
Pinkfresh Studio is well know as all beautiful floral stamps and dies. Of course I would like to play with one of my favorite stamp sets from this release. Again, I stamped out images from Embroidered Blossoms Stamp set and die cut them using Embroidered Blossoms Die set.

To prepare my background, I blended yellow watercolor paint with a smooth blending brush. Once it dried, I arranged selected images using liquid adhesive and foam tape.
Then I splattered black paint over the background to create an artsy look . I
stamped the sentiments to the lower left corner to finish this card.
I hope you get inspired by my cards. Have a wonderful day!
