I am thrilled to be on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today, sharing 2 cards that I created using stamps from the current release.
For the 1st card, I used the beautiful frame found in Merry and Bright. I colored the poinsettias in red and the birds in light browns and sponged a soft brown ink around the entire frame to give it a more vintage flair.
I wanted the sentiment to pop from behind the frame, so I heat-embossed it onto a piece of black cardstock. Using the partial die-cut technique, I cut around the edges of the frame only, so that I could layer the 2 frames.
I then layered the focal frame onto a piece of patterned paper, from the Boys Fort collection. I love looking beyond Christmas papers for my holiday cards! The geometric pattern is soft, and the color was a perfect match.
My next card features the adorable Festive Llama:
I love a cute llama! This one is a great size, and perfect for creating a substantial focal point on a card. I stamped her out, gave her a ton of presents to hold and layered her onto a piece of snowy patterned paper from the December Days 6x6 pack.
I matted the snowy paper with a piece of white cardstock, and then layered that onto a piece of subtle striped paper, from the Escape the Ordinary collection.
I hope you like what I've created, and thanks for stopping by!
