Hi, Pinkfresh friends! It's TaeEun here sharing a couple of cards that I made using some of the new items from our January 2020 Release. That was a huge release with so many beautiful floral stamp sets along with unique standalone dies. Also some new dies for your sentiments for all occasions were debuted.
Let's take a look at my cards!
First I've made an alcohol inked background panel using Yupo paper and alcohol inks in Poppy field and Watermelon. I added lots of gold splatters and let the panel dry. After the panel was dry I cut it with a die from Diagonal Stitched Square die set.
The word die "smiles" is from Phrase Builder: Sending set. I cut the shadow layer from the alcohol inked background panel and the word from some red and white cardstock. I adhered the red one slightly off set on the white one and added it to the shadow layer.
I mounted the background panel on a white square cardbase and foam mounted the Leafy Decor and the word "smiles" on it. The sentiment "sending" is from Folk Hummingbird set. I white heat embossed it on a strip of red cardstock, cut an end into a fishtail and adhered it on the card. I finished off the card by adding six red Crystals.
I chose a patterned paper with a watercolor washed look in yellow, orange and pink from Just a Little Lovely 6x6 paper pack as my background. I cut it with a die from Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set. I used the panel as my reference while ink blending the Just Because image which I white heat embossed on a piece of Neenah solar white cardstock. I ink blended the image in Lemon Whip, Sweet Mustard, Clementine, Coral Reef and Berrylicious. I tried to match the colors of the image with the background. The leaves were ink blended in Grassy Knoll. I cut the image with the coordinating die .
I mounted the background panel flat on a white cardbase and foam mounted the image on it as shown in the picture.
The sentiment "you" was cut from some white glitter cardstock and from heavyweight white cardstock and stacked together. I added the word to the card using some foam adhesives. The thin sentiment is also from Just Because set which I white heat embossed on a thin strip of black cardstock. My finishing touch for this card was some soft pink and yellow Jewels.
I love to create a camouflaging sentiment using word dies like in the first card or use die cut sentiment like the second one, when I don't want that the sentiment strip covers the background !
I had a blast making the cards for today :)! I hope you enjoyed looking them too!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
