December Days, 2 ways

Hi there!

Elena here, with 2 cards starring the new December Days stamp set.

First up, I used my favorite image from the set, the giant and cozy coffee mug.

I colored the mug in a festive red, and flanked it on either side with some stamped greenery (also from the same set.) The candy-cane striped frame is from the December Days Paper Collection, and is perfect for framing the focal images.

To liven up the card base, I used a sponge dauber and some white ink to create a soft polka dot background. Kraft and red are my favorite for the holidays!

My next card is a bit of a more whimsical take:

I did some creative masking to be able to fit the 2 woodland critters (from Forest Friends) onto the banner from December Days.

The first step is to stamp the bear. Then, mask him and stamp the reindeer. (Note: I stamped the reindeer's head and a bit of his neck only, and re-drew the lines. Because of how he was designed to fit in with the Forest Friends die, I had to wipe ink off from his body for this to make sense.)

Once the bear and reindeer were both masked, I was able to stamp the banner. I think it looks so cute! I colored all of the images and added a greeting from Simple Joy

I hope you like these cards, and thanks for stopping by!
