Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing a couple of projects inspired by the new Joyful Day paper collection. The beautiful dusty blue, coral, and peach color scheme screamed spring to me, so I knew that was my starting point for my projects today. Let's get started with the details!
For my first project, I used a panel of the beautifully subtle patterned paper from the Joyful Day 6x6 paper pack. I trimmed it slightly smaller than my white A2 card base, then mounted it on the card base, leaving a thin white frame around the edges. I stamped a greeting from Scripted Bold Sentiments 2 on a strip of white card stock using navy ink, then added that to a slightly larger strip of coral card stock and popped it up on the patterned card panel using foam tape.
Next, I stamped and die cut some pretty flowers from the new Embroidered Blossoms stamp set using corals, peach, pale blue, and dusty blue inks. I arranged them in a pretty bouquet, then added them to the card front. The final touch was a few white Nuvo drops to fill in a few gaps in the finished bouquet.
For my second project, I again used the peach, blue, and white color combination, this time creating my own patterned background using the Geo Floral Background. I die cut the cover plate from white card stock and mounted it on a pale blue A2 panel. I also stamped a greeting from Scripted Bold Sentiments 1 using the same navy ink on a white rectangle of card stock.
Next, I stamped several clusters of flowers from Inked Florals in the same pretty peach, coral, and blue color scheme, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I arranged the flowers and sentiment on the patterned card front, then used foam tape to adhere them to the card front. The final touch was a smattering of enamel dots from the Joyful Day collection.
Well, that's all for me today! I hope it feels like spring where you are... we got a few teaser days this week, but then Mother Nature changed her mind again and brought the cold air back. (How rude!) I will just have to sit in my craft room and stamp myself a springtime garden, I guess! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous day!
