Cards with Spring colors | Alix Davis

Cards with Spring colors | Alix Davis

Hello Crafty friends!

Alix here showing you couple cards using some spring colors since we are almost saying good bye to the winter. I believe most of us could not wait for Spring to come. Right?

For my first card, I decided to do a shaker card. I ink blended onto 2 piece of A2 sized watercolor paper with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Tattered Rose and Picked Raspberry. One for my background and one for die cutting later.

Then I used another piece of A2 sized cardstock paper and cut the longer side about 1/4 inches narrower. I splattered  the paint that was made with mixture of Picked Raspberry ink and water over the white background to create some textures.

I picked the letter dies from Adore Alpha die set to make up the word "HELLO". Then I removed the negative part of letters and attached a piece of acetate paper underneath to create the see through window. I chose different shades of seed beads for each letter. I close up my letter windows with lots of foam tapes.

I die cut some shapes from my prepped background with Folk Elements Dies and arranged them around my letter windows. At last, I embellished my card with pink jewels.

For my second card, it is fairly simple. I ink blended onto 2 piece of A2 sized watercolor paper with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover. One for my background and one for die cutting later.

I adhered a piece of white card stock paper slightly smaller than my A2 inked background to create the base. Then I die cut my element twice using Spring Floral Die out of another piece of inked background.

After partial removing the die cuts, I arranged them onto the base and embellished with green jewels. I white embossed my sentiment that comes form Oval Foliage stamp set onto the black cardstock paper and cut it to the long strip with paper cutter.

I attached the sentiment onto the center of this card and added sparkling clear sequins to finish my card.

I hope you get some inspirations from my projects today. Happy Crafting!
