Hello friends!! It's Channin here with some merry and bright holiday cards using a somewhat untraditional color palette!
I love trying "new-to-me" color combos and for these Christmas cards I decided to shake up the traditional red and green mix by adding a pink and aqua. I love how they turned out and feel like they have a really fresh but still festive look!
- Red: R17, R46, R59
- Agua: BG23, BG49
- Green: G14, G07, G28
Once I finished coloring the images in I then stamped the stamp again but this time in Versamark and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I then die cut the image/sentiment out with the Ornate Banner Die. I then die cut the banner out again but this time out of white cardstock. I then adhered the two together but slightly off-set so to create a shadow. Next, I adhered and A2 panel of red cardstock onto an A2 top-folding card base. I then finished the card by adhering the banners with foam tape.
For my second card, I first die cut a wreath from green cardstock using the Layered Wreath Die. I then colored the wreath the same set of green copics to give it a textured look. I then die cut some additional springs from white cardstock and then colored them with my set of aqua copics. Next, I die cut berries out of red cardstock and added a slight shadow with R59.
I then adhered the wreath and all its embellishments together. Next, I die cut my sentiment three times out of white cardstock using the Classic Holiday Words Die. I then adhered the die cuts together and then pressed them into Versamark ink and then heat embossed in gold. I then die cut an A2 panel of white cardstock with the Fancy Diagonal Stripes Die and adhered it and an A2 panel of pink cardstock onto a top-folding card base. I then finished the card by adhering the wreath and sentiment with foam tape and then adding glossy accents to the berries.
I hope you enjoyed my cards! Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!
