Bouquets and Blooms

Bouquets and Blooms

Hello and welcome! It's Kelly here today sharing two cards using some of my favorites from the new release that I didn't get a chance to use AND some of my favorites that I DID use, but couldn't wait to use again!
The first card uses the amazing new Floral Vase Stamp Set that I am in love with! The gorgeous bouquet is so much fun to color and I love that it has a few different options for presentation; in the vase, tied with a bow, etc. I chose to use it in the vase for today's design. To begin,I stamped the vase and the bouquet and colored the flowers with Copic markers. Once that was done, I used the coordinating Floral Vase die set to die cut them. I set them aside to get to work on the background.
For the background, I dry embossed the new Modern Bloom die onto a white panel measuring 4 by 5 1/4 inches. I love how the dry embossed piece looks like a beautifully quilted piece of fabric! I also layered the white oval that was die cut using the Essentials Braided Oval die set using foams squares for dimension. The "birthday wishes" sentiment is stamped in black and is from Floral Vase as well. I was dying to pair it with the Beautiful word die die cut from specialty glitter paper. It is added over the vase using liquid glue.
My second card uses the amazing new Kelly Alpha Upper Case die set that I love so much! I had some extra stamped images left over from the cards I made for the new release blog hop that came in handy to add to the Leafy Envelope Die. I added the envelope over a panel of pattern paper from the Just a Little Lovely 6 by 6 paper pad using foam squares. The sentiment, which is from the Delicate Wreath stamp set, is stamped in black directly onto the envelope using black ink. Once that was done, I was able to arrange the Lovely Blossoms here and there as well as the letters to spell "HI"! I had so much fun creating these two floral cards! I hope you get a chance to create something that makes you happy!
