I stamped the floral images twice on Bristol Vellum paper using a watercolor-friendly ink (Versafine Onyx Black ink). I decided to color the images using the same colors. You'll be surprised to learn that I only used 3 colors! I recently purchased Arteza Real Brush Pens and was excited to use them on these cards. I used Pine Green, Parakeet Green, and Hot Pink and didn't think I needed more because the colors blend out so nicely and leave lots of depth where I applied color.
For my first card, I used the larger images and created a mirror arrangement and added the Congrats sentiment in the center.
To add some interest to this card, I framed the card with a scallop and stitch border. I then centered and stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink. To frame in the sentiment, I added score lines using my scoreboard.
I propped the floral images and adhered them to this card panel using 3M foam tape to give it some dimension. I think this makes a wonderfully soft wedding card!
On my second card, I used the smaller flora images and created a frame to frame in the sentiment. I used glitter paper and a frame die to cut out the rectangle.
Once I die cut the frame, I centered it on the card panel and traced some lines on the outer edges so that I could mask it off to add the soft blue border using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.
Again I stamped the simple sentiment in the center using Versafine Onyx Black ink. There is something elegant about simple block letters, don't you think? I think the soft blue around the frame really gives it added depth. I also added 3M foam tape to the frame and flowers to give it dimension on this card.
I really hope you enjoyed these cards using the beautiful Bloom set. Thank you so much for joining us here on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today! Have a fabulous day!
