Background Dies Over Rainbow with Splatters Washi Tape

Background Dies Over Rainbow with Splatters Washi Tape

Hi, Friends!

It's Caly with you today sharing 3 cards for the three different designs from the latest Rainbow with Splatters Washi Tape.  As you can see below, there are 3 different washi tape designs for this washi tape roll and they are sized perfectly to fit an A2 card panel.  They make quick and easy backgrounds, but can also be used to die-cut words and frames!  To see the full collection of washi tapes, click HERE.

I started by unrolling my washi to reveal one design, then adding an A2-sized piece of white cardstock on the sticky side of the washi tape, then unrolling the washi and continuing to do that with the other two designs.  If you've adhered them properly, not much trimming will be required and it should fit any background die well.

The Folklore Background Die is my absolute favorite background die of all time.  It's so delicate and beautiful with amazing details.  In the past, I created a background by ink-blending a rainbow - radiating from the center.  Using the washi tape here cuts out all of that work and makes it soo easy.  Purple and teal are two of my favorite colors (next to a mauve/muted blush pink) so I used it for my favorite die.

My second card uses the pink to green gradient.  I thought this one would go well with flowers and foliage, so I used the Fancy Floral 2 background die to compliment this washi tape panel.

My final card uses the full rainbow panel.  It is absolutely perfect!  I decided to pair it with the Geo Floral Background die.

I simply die cut all these background dies using white cardstock and adhered them over the washi tape panels.

For the sentiments, I used the Word Series: Brilliant stamp set for each of my cards today and word dies from the Classic Words die set.  I embossed the stamped sentiments in white over black cards stock and die cut the words in black with a white halo.  You'll notice that to give my cards a final touch, I also added coordinating Pinkfresh Studio Jewels to my cards.  The jewels come in a container of 12 colors - each individually held in its own container and can add a beautiful touch to your cards.

I hope you enjoyed my projects today and that it inspires you to create beautiful cards with the help of washi tape that do all the coloring for you!  That's the part that definitely always takes the most amount of time for me.  Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!
