Project Life: Week 20 and Happy Family Layout
Posted on 04 June 2014
I'm waaaay behind with my PL this year, but I told myself not to stress out about it. My plan to get caught up is to do the most recent weeks first, then work my way back to complete the weeks that have already passed.
Here is my week 20. My spreads are typically done in Becky Higgins Design F page protectors. I like having 3x4 cards everywhere - for me, it makes it easier to fill.
My left side of the spread always contains a card that captures the week number and dates and a menu card that lists what we had for dinner this week. The rest of the pockets get filled with any random things from my week that I feel should be documented! (This week, I know it gets much hotter in other places around the country, but our out-of-normal hot temps here in SoCal this week were worth documenting. I was also in LA for work for a majority of the work week.)
The right side - looove the Pinkfresh Studio letterpress cards!
And some close-ups:
I don't create too many regular layouts on a normal basis. I'll do some here and there, but mainly just to add it directly into my PL album as an 8.5x11 insert and this layout was no exception. My layouts are also typically very simple. I think the size and space of a full page layout always intimidates me! :P
In my Happy Family layout, I'm documenting a photo taken with some family members that were visiting from out of the country.
I love the pops of orange in the Pinkfresh Studio embellishments! They went great with the gold background cardstock that I used and the Pinkfresh Studio glitter washi in gold!
The word "happy" is an acrylic embellishment that I purchased from Amy Tangerine a while ago. I thought the yellow worked well with the gold and orange on this layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
