This is Margareta with 3 summer themed scrapbooking pages for you. We have a heatwave in Sweden right now, but I didn't let it stop my scrapping. On the contrary, I felt inspired to scrap some pictures taken earlier this week. I used the wonderful Pinkfresh Studio kit for all of the layouts, along with wood veneers and enamel shapes.
First of all, let me show you this blue summer beach page, where I used the puffy borders, a canvas pocket and the stamp set from the Pinkfresh Studio kit, along with the beautiful glitter tapes in blues and golds.
The vellum pieces are from Webster's Pages' brand new collection Ocean Melody, and I used the denim heart piece with a transparent backing, stitched together with gold thread, and with gold and navy blue sequins inside. It's a quick and easy way to make a beautiful shaker card/embellishment for your page.
On the next layout, I used the craft die from the kit (you will probably need some extra shims when you use it, I added a couple of extra shims to use it with my Big Shot) to cut some colored vellum and patterned paper. This fun and wonky circle shape has one awesome feature, that you can stick photos and other elements between the layers.
Again, I used the canvas tag holder for my journaling. I happen to love using tags for my journaling, and putting the tag into this canvas pocket makes the journaling semi-hidden, which I like.
I added some extra stamping to the page, from the stamp sets '& Hello' and 'Think less, live more'. The flowers from the latter set are so gorgeous and versatile. I find myself using them all the time on many of my projects. They are just the perfect accent!
For the last page, I actually scraplifted the previous one. I used the centerpiece scraps from the die cuts! I can be thrifty like that, sometimes, hahah. And, in this case, I looked at those beautiful scraps and just couldn't throw them away. They were so beautiful in their own right and I felt that they should be used, so I made another layout.
Once again, the canvas pocket from the Pinkfresh Studio kit plays the main role (by now, you've spotted the theme, haven't you? lol!), but I also used the stamp set (and, indirectly, the craft die) for this page.
Are you getting some scrapping time this summer? Do you scrap more than usual or do you have less time to scrap during the summer season?
In any case, I hope that you get some 'me' time to scrap this weekend. Thank you so much for stopping by. :)
