It's the start of a new month, which means we have a new Designer Spotlight! For the month of September, we are highlighting the super talented Keeway Tsao. Keeway is one of our newest card designers in the Pinkfresh Studio family, and her gorgeous style is a perfect fit! We LOVE having her on the team!
How about we get to know Keeway a little better?
Hello there! It's Keeway from Kiwi Koncepts and I’m so excited to be here today for this month’s Designer Spotlight. I live in Southern California where it's sunny almost every single day! I love to color and craft, paint, spend time outdoors with my husband and dog, go to Disneyland, watch movies, and eat yummy food!
What inspired you to start paper crafting?
I had always been an avid fan of arts and craft and attended all sorts drawing and painting classes growing up. I just knew creativity runs in my blood, so when I discovered cardmaking in 2014, I could not stop! Cardmaking grew on me and over time it slowly became a big part of my life. I was excited to not only be able to create something from scratch, but also be able to share with friends worldwide.
What best describes your paper crafting style?
Sometimes clean, sometimes simple but mostly cute! I let me creativity flow with the products I work with, and sometimes it inspires me to do some loose watercoloring, and sometimes it inspires to go for the clean copic colored look. But no matter what medium I use, I am drawn to creating a fresh look.
What draws you to Pinkfresh Studio products?
I just adore the modern, whimsical style of Pinkfresh Studio products. It’s a style that I personally love to see when purchasing my own stationery and artwork to frame at home, so I admire it greatly.
Please list your top 5 current Pinkfresh Studio Products.
- Enjoy the journey
- Always flowers
- Simple joy
- Scootin’ by
- Escape the ordinary
What is your very favorite color combo?
My favorite color combos vary with the season, but currently my favorite color combo is soft green and ochre. Maybe throw in some clay orange for accenting!
What is one tip you have for someone just getting started in paper crafting?
I am a huge fan of Instagram and Pinterest, both outlets that provide so much inspiration to help you get started or even to get you motivated and out of a creative block. The hardest part of creating is getting started, so why not find a little inspiration to push you in the right direction?

Keeway created a GORGEOUS new card for her Designer Spotlight, which you are going to just love! Read more about her project in her own words.
Hello there! I’m so excited to be here today for this month’s Designer Spotlight and I wanted to share with you a project featuring a combination of my favorite products and techniques with Pinkfresh Studio products. Ever since Pinkfresh Studio released their liquid watercolors, I cannot keep my hands off of them! I used them in this project to create a soft background applying a combination of Emerald city, Aquamarine, Sky blue, and Sapphire colors through a wet-on-wet technique.
To compliment the background, I went with the Bloom and grow stamp and die set. I stamped the flowers and butterfly images in black hybrid ink and colored them up with copic markers. Then, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them all out.
I stamped a sentiment from the Bird with flowers stamp set in black directly onto the background. Then, I trimmed down my watercolor background panel to 4” x 5.25”, and adhered it to an A2 white base over fun foam. Lastly, I added all my images to the card, some directly onto the background, and some over foam squares. I trimmed off any images that hung past the edge.
Hope you enjoy today’s project and feel inspired to create!
We asked Keeway one final question, which we think is super fun to include in these Designer Spotlight posts!
Do you have a past favorite project you've created with Pinkfresh Studio product that you'd like to share? Why is it your favorite?
My favorite past project features the Enjoy the journey stamp set, which is one of my favorites. I love the adorable illustrations of this set, and anything with tea! I also love the smooth clean look of ombre ink blending and soft copic coloring.
