Hello crafty friends,
Isha here with you today with my Designer Spotlight post! I'm sharing a bit of information about myself, some new projects AND not to forget, a giveaway generously sponsored by Pinkfresh Studio :).
About myself: I'm originally from India, but have been living here in Switzerland for the last 20 years with my hubby and two daughters.
I've been crafting my whole life but turned to stamping about 6 years ago. I have to say that I am enjoying every minute of it. I have been fortunate to have worked with some of the known names in the industry and to be published in some of the magazines in the US and UK. Besides crafting I love baking, going for long walks and listening to music. You can find me on Instagram or on my blog!
For today's post I decided to make 2 cards and a mixed media travelers notebook spread using Fleur 1 stamp set and coordinating Die as well as Always Flowers, Birds and Bows, Be You stamps and a few products from Be You, Let Your Heart Decide, The Mix no.2 and A Case of the Blahs Collection.
Card 1: I created a background using some acrylic paints, added a few white splatters. Once dry, I stamped the floral bouquet from the Fleur 1 stamp set.
I then stamped the sentiment from the Always Flowers stamp set onto a vellum stripe.
To finish I added a few sequins.
Card 2: I started with creating the background. For this I stamped and embossed the background stamp using the Be You stamp set from Be You collection repeatedly. I then sponged some inks onto it creating an ombre look. The embossed part acts as a resist and looks pretty.
I then die-cut a tag, flicked some gold mist onto it, stamped the sentiment from the Always Flowers stamp set. I then stamped the branches and leaves using the Birds and Bows stamp set. Then I stamped two of the birds from the same stamp set onto a white cardstock and colored them using my copic markers. Then I fussy cut them.
To assemble the card, I adhered the background piece onto a white cardbase. Then adhered a doily onto it. Attached the tag and adhered the birds onto it using 3D foam. Here is a close up to see all the details.
Finally, I created the mixed media TN spread. I really enjoyed mixing stamps with bits from various collections as they all were perfect fit to this page.
I started with the base as always. Once it was dry, I stamped the floral bouquet from the Fleur 1 stamp set. I then stamped some more flowers and leaves from the same set and used the coordinating die to die-cut them.
I had this fun photo of some chocolate cake which I used for my memory keeping. I layered it using some Be You papers. The cup is from the puffy stickers of the same collection. The title is from The Mix 2, the tiny hearts are from the Let Your Heart decide collection and the enamel dots are from a case of Blahs.
Having all the perfect pieces made it so easy to create this spread. What I love about Pinkfresh products is , how well they mix and match, giving you so much versatility :)
I hope you liked my creations and got inspired by all the awesome products.
