Card Inspirations

You are my rainbow!

You are my rainbow!

Hello friends! It's Kelly here sharing a bright and colorful rainbow card with you today!  This card was a joy to make as I used so many of the gorgeous colors of ink to make this rainbow come alive!  This sweet "you are my rainbow" sentiment is one of my favorites and I've been dying to use it on a card just like I've created today!

I've really been loving the emboss resist technique using the fabulous backgrounds paired with die cutting! For today's card, I heat embossed the Do What You Love background stamp with white powder and then die cut it using the Pop Out Sunburst Die

After it was die cut, I added the ink using different inks on each separate portion. This part is so much fun as you add the color and see the white embossed portion pop! I placed the pieces back into the frame, which is adhered to a top folding A2 card base. I used foam squares on some of the pieces to give it extra interest and dimension!

I die cut the "HI" letters using the Adore Alpha, added the ink blending and then popped them in the center of the red circle! I heat embossed the "you are my rainbow" sentiment, which is from the Simply Sentiments Hello stamp set, onto a vellum strip and wrapped it around the card, securing it with clear tape!

Of course, I couldn't help but add a rainbow assortment of Essentials Jewels scattered here and there over the card. This was such a fun card to make! Thanks for joining me today!
