Hello my crafty friends! It's Anne here with a couple of sweet little circle cards made with the new Folk Edge Circles die set.
Sometimes when I get a hold of a new die set the first thing I like to do is grab whatever paper is lying around and use the die with it just to get a better feel for what the die cut looks like and that's just what happened with my first card here. I had some scraps, Neenah white 110 lb. and Sea Glass colored cardstock, sitting on my table and used them. I ended up loving how it looked so much, I decided to just stack them and leave it at that. Those folk edges are soooo pretty!
With the second card I decided to use yellows. Pinkfresh has a charming yellow and white patterned paper included in their Keeping it Real collection, I thought it was sweet and paired it with more white cardstock.
I bumped each layer up with a circle of fun foam, the added space between pieces of paper gives each circle and die cut a bit of shadow, further defining them. I decided to back my circle cards with another Pinkfresh new release: Stitched Scallop Circle! Yay! (I understand not everyone is, but I'm definitely a scallop kind of girl!)
Each circle card has an additional backing circle, scored near the top and glued to the back of the card base piece so that it can stand.
I decided to add a little bit of whimsy with Pinkfresh's Layered Snowflakes die set, curl them up and layer them as well. Some Emerald City jewels went down on the yellow card and Ballet Slipper jewels were used on the Sea Glass card.
The sentiment "Hugs from afar", came from the My Favorite Things to Say #2. And the "Happy Birthday" stamp came from the gorgeous Floral Notes stamp set.
Thank you so much for coming by! I hope some of these design choices have inspired you to make something new today!
These circlular cards are so dainty, the Folk Edge dies are fab.
Of course I love the pearls & jewels. I really like the envelope dies. Thank you
