English Garden Stencil | TaeEun Yoo

English Garden Stencil | TaeEun Yoo

Hi Pinkfresh friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s TaeEun here today with a slimline card featuring the English Garden stamp and Layering Stencil set! This beautiful floral stamp design was released previously with a washi tape and finally we got the coordinating layering stencil set in July! The stencils make the coloring so easy!

I started off by heat embossing the English Garden image in gold. I then picked the ink colors for the Layering Stencils. I stenciled the first layer of the flowers in Ballet Slipper, Soft Lilac and Sunshine. I added a bit of Apricot to some pink flowers. The second layer was then stenciled in Sparkling Rose, Candy Violet and Apricot. For the leaves I used Slumber and Sapphire. The stencil layer of the small leaves were blended in Ocean Breeze. To add a bit of purple to the leaves I ink blended some of them in Soft Lilac.

After stenciling I cut all the images using the coordinating one piece die and set them aside.

For a background in the coordinating colors I watercolored a panel in pink and purple. After the panel was dry I cut it with the Slimline Stitches die and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase.

I gold heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set on some vellum and adhered it on the back of the floral wreath. Now I arranged the flowers as shown in the picture and added the yellow butterfly. The Glacier and Lavender Jewels were my finishing touch for this card.

That’s it from me today! It was so fun and easy to add color to these pretty floral clusters using the layering stencils! I hope you enjoyed looking my card!

Have a crafty day!
