Hello everyone! It’s TaeEun here today with a couple of floral slimline cards featuring the Chrysanthemum Slimline product suite. At first I used the coordinating layering stencil set to color the gorgeous chrysanthemum image. But as I couldn’t help but watercolor the large bloom, I made one more card :) .
Let’s take a look at the no line watercolored card first.
I started by watercoloring a watercolor paper panel lightly in blue, pink and violet. After the panel was completely dry I stamped the Chrysanthemum Slimline on it in Peach Fuzz.
I then watercolored the flower in the same colors I used for the background. I colored petal by petal in several layers. After done with watercoloring I added darker shades to the image using Polychromos colored pencils.
I cut the finished panel using Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die and foam mounted it on a cardbase, on which I adhered a gray cardstock panel.
The sentiment is also from the Chrysanthemum Slimline set. I stamped the large sentiment in Detail Black and cut it with the coordinating die. I cut the shape four more times and layered them for some dimension. The long sentiment was heat embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock. I finished off the card with a few Glacier Jewels.
The next card is showing the Chrysanthemum Slimline which was colored using the layering stencil set.
To start I heat embossed the image in white on Neenah solar white cardstock. I stenciled the first layer of the flowers in Sweet Mustard, Apricot and Bubble Gum and the second layer in Clementine and Raspberry Bliss. I love the look of the two or three toned flowers :) .To stencil the leaves I used Key Lime and Olive.
After stenciling I cut it using the coordinating die and set it aside.
To create the background I first ink blended a white panel in Key Lime, Bubble Gum and Sweet Mustard very lightly. I then cut the panel with the Daisy Chain Coverplate die. As the coverplate die is in A2 size I die cut two times to fill the slimline sized panel. I trimmed the panel a bit to make it fit under the Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangle frame and adhered it on a white slimline cardbase. The Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangle frame was foam mounted on it. Next I added the Chrysanthemum to the card. I used the sentiment from the Chrysanthemum Slimline set here as well. This time I heat embossed the large sentiment in gold. A few Matte Gold Metallic Pearls were my finishing touch for this card.
That’s it from me for today. Hope you enjoyed looking my card!
