Celebrate Ephemera Shaker Card┃Yasmin Diaz

Happy Tuesday, Pinkfresh friends! Yasmin here sharing with you a quick and easy “Hello” shaker card made using ephemera pieces from the Celebrate: Ephemera Pack. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them.

To begin with, I started by creating the card panel, so to that I selected one of the beautiful and colorful solid patterned papers included in the Celebrate: 6 x 6 Paper Pack. The papers including in the paper pad are thicker enough that can resist heat, so I went ahead to place the selected paper inside my stamping tool, and then I placed over it the Abstract Cube Background Stamp.

Once the patterned paper and the background stamp were onto place, I added Embossing Tool Powder to the paper and then I got the background stamp image stamped over the card panel with Embossing Ink 2X to get a better impression. Thus, after I had the stamping done I removed the patterned paper out the stamping tool then, I added White Embossing Powder and right afterwards I heated set the powder until the powder was completely melted using my Heat Embossing Tool. So, after I had finished the heat embossing, I went ahead to trim the edges off from the paper a bit smaller than a standard size card base, and last but not least I adhered the backing of the card panel with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base.

Moving along, after the card base was complete I set it aside and I started the shaker element, so to do that I select the beautiful floral ephemera wreath included in the Celebrate: Ephemera Pack. Then, to create the clear window I used one of the small circles die from my stash and acetate.

So, after I had the circle acetate piece I went ahead to glue it down with liquid glue to the backing side of the floral wreath, then after both pieces were adhered I went ahead to adhere pieces of craft foam tape to the backing of the floral wreath to create dimension so the sequins could have movement.

Therefore, after I had finished adhering the craft foam tape to the floral ephemera wreath I went back to the card base to add clear sequins to the center of the card, and then right after that I finished the shaker window by peeling off the backing of the craft foam tape and by adhering the floral wreath to the card base. The floral wreath was cute enough to leave it as is, but I decided to add extra dimension by adhering a cluster which I had previously created using one of the single ephemera flowers included in the pack and a few die-cutting wreath accents made using one of the dies from the Layered Wreath Die and translucent vellum.

Finally, after I was done adhering the cluster, I finished the card off by mounting with skinny pieces of craft foam tape the sentiment over the floral/shaker wreath made using a Hello word included in the ephemera pack and a sentiment which I’ve had previously gold heat emboss over a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments from the Simply Sentiments - Hello Stamp Set. Then, to add even more shine I also glued down with liquid glue here and there jewels from the Essentials: Jewel Mix set. With that being said, I hope you have enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this quick and simple card showcasing ephemera pieces and stamp sets by Pinkfresh Studio.
