Welcome, crafty friends! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season so far! Today I am sharing a card that showcases the gorgeous You’re the Best stamp set that I transformed into a vibrant floral arrangement as the focal point!
To get started, I stamped the florals multiple times in Detail Black ink, then colored them in using the coordinating stencils with Raspberry Bliss, Clementine, Sunshine, Meadow, Blue Jay, Candy Violet, and Grassy Knoll inks. Next, I die-cut each with the coordinating die and began working on the background.
The background, although intricate, is very simple to create by combining a few dies (and remember, most of it will be covered by cascading flowers!) First, I die cut an A2-sized piece of white cardstock with the Blanket Stitched Rectangle, then used the Classic Edgers die to cut a curved border across the middle of the card. Next, I die cut the Simply Hexagons and adhered it over top of an A2-sized cardstock that I pierced with the Hexagon Tiles Coverplate die. To finish the card base, I attached the curved piece over the top with thin foam adhesive.
Once the background was complete, I arranged the flowers to create a rainbow cascade. To overlap the flowers, I adhered every other flower using foam tape and tucked in the remainder using liquid adhesive. To finish, I added some die-cut leaves and topped it off with a foiled sentiment from the Fancy Script Words set.
I hope you enjoyed today's card and are inspired to create one too! Thank you for joining us today, friends!
Again, I LOVE the layered stencils. No more time consuming coloring.
