Butterfly Garden Wreath | TaeEun Yoo

Hello crafty friends! Hope you’re having a great week! It’s TaeEun here today sharing a floral wreath card. I used the whimsical images of the Butterfly Garden stamp set to make the wreath. I kept the card in pink, orange and gold. The color palette gives the card a warm and refreshing touch. Coral Reef and Apricot inks are great mix for this effect!

I started by heat embossing the images of the Butterfly Garden in gold. I then stenciled the images using the coordinating stencil set. For the flowers I used Coral Reef and Apricot. For the butterflies I added a bit of Sunshine. The leaves were stenciled in Warm Buff and Grassy Knoll. The one-piece coordinating die cuts the images into individual pieces.

To create the background, I ink blended a mixed media paper panel in Peach Fuzz, Coral Reef, and Apricot. I also added Passion Fruit to the edges to color the area more vibrantly. After ink blending, I sprayed pearl water on the panel to achieve a smooth blend. Once the panel was dry, I splattered white opaque ink on it and cut it with the Spiral Circle die.

I foam mounted the background panel on a beige cardbase and arranged the Wreath as shown in the picture. I also added three butterflies to the wreath and the golden bow which was cut using the Wrap Around Elements set.

The sentiments were chosen from the Butterfly Garden set. I heat embossed the word “beautiful” in gold and stamped “Hope your day is” in Gathered Twigs ink on white cardstock. I then cut the sentiments using the Basic Banners Celebrate die. To make the banners shorter, I die cut one end once again, inked the edge of the banners in Coral Reef and added them to the card using foam tape.

Lastly I finished off the card with a few Metallic Gold Pearls.
