Magical Christmas! | Yoonsun Hur

Magical Christmas! | Yoonsun Hur

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! We are quite busy with winter holiday projects, right?!! So today I have a couple of Christmas cards with some new & old goodies.

For my first card, I used the Geo star 1 & 2 dies along with other Christmas-themed sets. I die cut Geo star 1 from vellum paper, Geo star 2 from white wood grain paper, and glued them together using fine-tip glue pen. I then adhered the panel on kraft card base.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Magical Christmas set on red card stock in white, then trimmed it down. I also stamped & watercolored rocking horse from the Merry and bright toy shop set, then fussy cut it.

I die cut several flowers from white card stock using the Dainty blossoms dies, brought all of that together, adhered them over the bottom left side of the card using foam tape.

For my second card, I used the Great joy stamp set along with the Magical Christmas stamp set. I stamped Christmas wreath & sentiment on watercolor paper panel using black pigment ink. I then inked the panel using Festive Berries & Fired Brick Distress inks, took out the red color from wreath & sentiment areas using water brush.

I added white color to reindeer & bear using white gel pen, and also decorated the wreath with jingle bell.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Great ideas. Using the vellum in the first card is genius. Love the way you removed the ink with water in the second one. Beautiful cards.

Beautiful cards Yoonsun!! I really like those geo start cover dies (will need to go on my wishlist) and doing them with vellum and white woodgrain is a lovely combination! On the wreath card, I love the look of the lightened wreath and sentiment. Such a great effect. I’ll have to remember that technique. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!

I love your cards! Thanks for the inspiration. I think your use of white on top of vellum is sensational.
