Confetti Card with Julia Stainton

Confetti Card with Julia Stainton

Hi all! It's Julia Stainton here with a card to celebrate a special day. I love sending cards out for any event but I find that birthdays are some of my most sent card designs. They are fun and festive and everyone needs a birthday card every year.

The latest release from Pinkfresh Studio has some amazing stamp sets that help you celebrate and create lovely whimsical designs. Today I'm sharing a card that reminds me of confetti and banners and sweet card sprinkles for a vibrant look.

I started off with the new Basic Banners Stamp Set to create a vivid image in lots of bright ink colors. I love how these banner stamps really add movement and draw your eye through the design.

To add in a fun bit of gold heart "confetti" I stamped some of the hearts from this set over the banners and then embossed them with gold embossing powder. On top of all this I've added in some punched vellum circles and hearts for a bokeh effect to the design.

Every birthday card needs some birthday wishes attached to it and at the bottom of the card I've stamped "happy birthday" with a fun stamp from the Sweet Treats stamp set. There are lots of great sentiments in this set and the treat images are amazing. While I didn't use any of them here, I'm definitely going to be pulling this stamp set out again soon!

Finally to create the background of the main card base panel, I used some pretty sprinkle stamps also from the Sweet Treats set. I simply stamped them in black to make the main panel really stand out.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you'll be inspired to pull out your stamps and get crafty!
